Before jumping to connect the lights you need to make sure that you have set up your Ikea Trådfri lights successfully. You need to group them together first and include some advance tricks such as adding Google assistant and to plug straight into the router you need buy a Ikea Trådfri gateway separately.
How you can connect Ikea Trådfri lights to Google Home
Now we assume that you have already done your set up then let’sget straight to connecting to Google Home.
Open the Trådfri app> setting cog> integration> then click Google assistant> click Enable> continue> pick the Google account.
Then move on to the next step by opening Google Home app> Add (at top)> set up device > select Trådfri Ikea smart lighting.
Then confirm adding the Google assistant in the Trådfri app by clicking the box. After that again select your Google account from that list. Also if you want to add a bulb to a room just simply select the bulb > add to a room. And you are all done.
You are now able to command “ok Google, turn on my Trådfri lights”.
