If your Google Assistant isn’t responding properly then you might need to perform a factory reset to make it work like before again or you might want to give it to someone else. 

However, this resetting process isn’t that much easy. The process totally varies on which set of Google assistant you are using. One more thing you need to keep in mind that factory reset can’t be done in your Google home app or just by commanding.

So in this article, I will guide on how you can perform factory reset done on original Google Home, Nest minis, Max, Nest hub and Nest audio.

Resetting  Google Nest Hub

Resetting Google Home Hub is easy. Just and hold volume buttons together for 10 seconds. Then your Google assistant will confirm resetting your hub and you will notice a warning displays on the screen.

Resetting original Google home

Turn your speaker back and then press and hold microphone mute button for 15 seconds. And you will discover your Google assistant confirming it’s resetting.

Resetting Google Nest Mini

First of all, turn off the microphone and wait until the LEDs turn orange. Then press the centre of your Nest Mini and hold for five seconds. Then your device will start resetting don’t lift your fingers and continue holding it for 10 seconds until you hear the sound.

Resetting Google Home Mini

Press the factory reset button and hold for 15 seconds then after hearing confirmation from Google assistant you are done.

Resetting Google Home Max

Press the factory reset button and hold for 12 seconds. After hearing the confirmation from Google assistant you’re done.

Resetting Nest Audio

Turn off the microphone and you will notice the lights turns orange. After that press the centre of the Nest Audio and hold. After waiting for 5 seconds the factory reset will start. Then hold for 10 seconds more until you head the sound confirming resetting.
