However, if you are a podcast lover then it is good news for you that you can stream your favorite podcasts from the podcast app without spending a single penny and easily ask Siri to play Soft Spot’s latest episode.
So let’s look into the ways to play podcasts on your smart home speaker, HomePod.
Playing podcast on HomePod
There are mainly two options available for you to play podcasts on HomePod, one with AirPlay 2 and another with Siri route.
With AirPlay 2-
- Open the apple podcast app.
- Select the series/episode you want to play.
- After that at the bottom of the playback screen, click the AirPlay icon.
- Select the HomePod you want to play on.
And enjoy listening to your favorite podcast.
With Siri route, just command “hey Siri, play the (podcast name) podcast.” And it will automatically start playing from the point you left it off.
After you are done with these you can create a group for your speakers if you have more than one and as long as they are registered in the Home app. Then just command “hey Siri , play my latest podcast on Sonos”.
