CORSAIR’S UPDATED FULL SIZE K70 KEYBOARD

Corsair’s latest mechanical keyboard is the K70 RGB Pro, which adds a numpad to last year’s K70 RGB TKL while keeping many of its other enhancements. Reduced input latency, a detachable USB cable, and a standard key layout should make it easy to configure the K70 RGB Pro with third-party accessories are among the features

The K70 RGB Pro is primarily intended as a gaming keyboard, with a focus on speed and responsiveness. It scans for key presses internally at 4,000Hz and can report them to an associated PC at up to 8,000Hz. This could result in lower input latency when compared to more conventional 1,000Hz keyboards. Along with the more traditional Red, Blue, Brown, and Silent Red switch selections, the K70 RGB Pro is also available with Cherry MX Speed switches, which need to be pressed less far before they detect a press.

Features:

It’s important to note that the K70 RGB Pro employs normal mechanical switches, which are unlikely to be as sensitive as the optical switches featured in Corsair’s higher-end K100 keyboard. It may however fall short in terms of responsiveness when compared to keyboards such as Razer’s latest Huntsman V2, which internally checks for key presses at 8,000Hz, giving them a minor theoretical speed edge. However, we’re talking about variations of a fraction of a second, which may be insignificant to all but the top players.

Another feature carried over from the K70 RGB TKL is the “tournament switch,” which prevents annoying flashing backlights and macros when playing a game. A magnetic wrist rest is provided to keep your hands at a comfortable angle when typing, and keycaps are double-shot PBT for the best combination of durability and beauty.

The Corsair K70 RGB Pro is priced at $159.99 in the United States, €189.99 in the European Union, and £169.99 in the United Kingdom. It will be accessible in the United States soon, but it is unlikely to be available in the United Kingdom until the end of March.
