Major companies all over the world are continually striving to develop voice technology as much as possible. It is not limited to smart speakers anymore. We can treat ourselves to a smart home experience now, thanks to voice-technology. We’ve advanced so much that Google is planning on launching smart doorbells and stylers. The doorbells will have Google Assistant skills.
Google had a significant slip up recently. They mistakenly posted their forthcoming smart home ideas on Twitter. They accidentally posted about the upcoming range of doorbells and stylers. The post was taken down after a few hours. However, screenshots were already taken and circulated. Here’s all you need to know about the recent revelation!
Google Assistant integrated doorbells
Google mentioned about smart home doorbells in the leaked documentation. We all know that Google has never documented smart doorbells or stylers under its list of supported smart home devices. So it’d be safe to hope that Google might be planning on bringing about a considerable change. Rumours are that the new smart doorbells could be Google Assistant integrated. They might be able to scan, pre-announce, and detect the guest.
Is it worth buying?
Although Amazon Echo Auto is missing out on some of the features, such as reading your incoming texts and propagates a glitchy navigation system, it’s still a safe bet for its low price. It has a wide array of microphones to detect speech even in the noisiest of environments- so when you have your kids yelling at the backseat or your friends hooting with millions of other cars honking and indistinct chattering, Alexa can still hear you above it all.
It has excellent speech recognition power, and can still place calls, tell you the weather, inform you of the traffic and play your favorite songs without moving your hands. If you’re not willing to lose money hand over fist on a brand new automobile with the latest voice-technology features, you can always opt for this. The standard solution at a substandard price, it’s simply hard to say no.
Stylers
Stylers are high-end devices that help wash delicate clothes. They often use steam to clean a garment. Clothes that aren’t machine washable can be washed with stylers instead. Albeit LG stylers already use google assistant, Google is planning to introduce more changes. Stylers and doorbells should be brand new entries into Google’s smart devices family.
Can’t wait
The documents were labeled confidential and as “EAP.” EAP stands for “early access program.” From what we can infer, its only natural that they were to be shared privately. Maybe with the companies who would be working on it. However, Google slipped and posted it publicly. We don’t mind, though. It’s like we received our own little trailer to a forthcoming surprise. We saw what you did there, Google. We’re waiting!
