How you can watch YouTube on Amazon Echo Show

The very first thing you need to do before accessing YouTube is check whether your Echo show is of first generation or the latest generation like Echo show 8 or Echo show 5.

And if you find out your one is the old gen device then make sure it’s updated and running with the latest software. In case, you want to update it then 

• 1. Swipe down from the top on your device’s screen.
  2. Click settings.
  3. Head over to Device options.
  4. Go to check for software updates and update the software.

And your device will be ready and updated to play YouTube.

Now, there’s mainly two ways to watch YouTube on your Echo Show. One is with Amazon’s silk browser and the other is with Firefox. 

With the Silk browser, just command “Alexa, open Silk” and it will take you to the screen where you will notice some bookmarks. Tap on the YouTube’s bookmark and enjoy YouTube on your Echo Show.

And with Firefox it’s much easier. Just command “Alexa, open Firefox or more specifically “Alexa, open YouTube”. And boom, you are done opening YouTube. But remember one thing that you can’t control YouTube with Alexa, you have to search anything manually by hand. It’s pretty awkward but that’s now it works.
