Amazon has announced a new and advanced feature called Hunches to monitor your behavior of using smart home devices and suggest according to that if it notices something unusual. Sounds really interesting, right? For example, if you command “Alexa, set an alarm for tomorrow morning” and you leave your kitchen room’s light on, then Alexa will understand that you are going to get sleep so it will remind you that the kitchen’s light is left on.

It’s kind of an evolutionary feature that you can enjoy on your Amazon Echo devices. However, if you don’t feel any of Alexa’s suggestions useful then you can simply say ‘no’ or ignore it and in case you agree with Alexa’s suggestions then acknowledge by saying ‘Yes’.

Now let’s dig deeper on how you can use Alexa Hunches-

Usually Hunches is enabled by default but if you want to disable it for some reason then just simply command “Alexa, disable Hunches.”

And in case of enabling again just command “Alexa enable Hunches”.

In case you want to know about the manual process then

  • Head over to the Alexa app.
  • Tap more.
  • You can see the suggested Hunches within the settings menu.
  • In the suggestion section you can turn Hunches on or off.

However, this feature is now only available in US.
