Amazon will play something for you on Netflix you might like

You have got an Amazon Fire TV? You are lucky because Now Amazon will allow users to ask Alexa to ‘play something on Netflix’ to enjoy some videos they actually might like. The Netflix algorithm has decided to show ‘something’ to their subscribers which they might like but never selected while scrolling before.

The feature is however not so unfamiliar with Alexa users as they might have been doing this since they have subscribed to Amazon Prime videos but additionally now they will be able to use this command for Netflix. This deal between Amazon and Netflix are quite eye-catching as both of them are the main rivals in this field of streaming services. However, according to the advertisement Amazon and Netflix have partnered because of releasing the new season of The Witcher on Netflix. 

While asking about the collaboration Netflix marketing partnership director has stated “Deciding what to watch isn’t easy when you have a lot of great options to choose from.  So, we are excited to partner with Fire TV to bring the Alexa voice technology to the Netflix Play Something feature,”  he further added “Now you can instantly discover a show or film we know you’ll love based on what you’ve watched before.”

Also Netflix’s collaboration with  Fire TV series are noticeable. The Omni fire series has debuted recently with hands-free Alexa access. Also it’s X-ray feature can share information on the screen’s bottom and Alexa conversational feature allows viewers to ask for movie or show recommendations based on their watching preferences and Alexa shows suggestions accordingly. However, Netflix isn’t the only one to collaborate with Amazon Fire TV series, other platforms like TikTok has also made their way through an app.
